Dongyou (also named Yu Bin) has done it.
Yu
Dongyou is a painter, also can be said to be a Confucian
businessman, his life is to play wood and painting, to talk about business
when he has business, to practice his brush when he has no business, to sit
down for a period of time and sit down to drink tea or smoke when he feels
tired, self admiring himself, he said that painting is very enjoyable, playing
wood is also very enjoyable, of course the source of the economy depends on
playing wood, but he is more interested in painting.
Born in
the hometown of Jiangsu and Zhejiang, Yu Dongyou, who was engaged in arts and
crafts and painting, and plus the cultural atmosphere of growing up in dense environment,
he had been heard and seen from her childhood, and he also liked to paint, and
went to the local Huangyan City College to study the landscape department.
During the period of the reform and opening up of the market economy, he also
painted bamboo curtains, clothes, egg shells and other art works, and saved some money for his study.
This not
only exercises the skill of painting, but also keeps his keen sense of
business, so he came to work in the Institute of Arts and crafts in Guangdong
province, he had an unintentional discovery that the provincial
second light hall had a lot of waste Bose boat wood, he felt it was a pity, so he
suggested the leaders of the second light hall that they could be used to do
the mahogany furniture, who knows that after the
suggestion was adopted, he had to return to his hometown Guangzhou to run a
wood carving factory, from then on, he and the wood also had an indissoluble
bond. In particular, his own art knowledge and aesthetic ideas were able to be
applied in this field of wood, feel just like a fish in water, business
gradually bigger, and painting has more economic security to persist and not be utilitarian.

Dongyou prefers to draw pine and bamboo, it is not
only the elegant character that the literati given to the pine and bamboo, It
is also because the bamboo trees were planted in the front and back of the door,
appreciation of the bamboo pose, listen the bamboo waves, see the bamboo shoot growing
and pick up the bamboo core...... from childhood become attached to the bamboo,
while reading the Fine Arts College, he went to the "Nine Peak Park"
to sketch every day, in the park the ancient pines reaching the sky, varied styles, vigorous and straight, supplied him a
myriad of painting source material.
Past
life, subtle observation, and his strong feelings of growing together with
trees and plants around him, so that he has always been happy to express the
beauty of memory. He said he should draw the object of his heart, first to like
the object, to show its impulse or passion, and to understand and observe
deeply, to draw the charm and truth of the object, and to draw the resonance of
the cognitively. So his pine is not only the pine in the real world, but also
the pine in the heart of emotion.

Dongyou's growth in art, in addition to his inner love, is not only taught by famous
teacher of the Fine Arts College Jiang Wenbing and Chen Tianwen, but also learned
from the famous teacher of Guangzhou Zhou Guocheng, and a copy of the works of
Pan Tianshou and Lu Yanshao. After living in Guangzhou, the influence of the
founder of the south of the Five Ridges School of painting Ju Lian and Ju Cao, and
Li Xiongcai's "Li Jia Song", the impact of various ideas and the
absorption of various kinds of nourishment made him actively merge, actively
comprehend and deduct, and strive to have ancient style and inheritance, also
have his own style.

Dongyou said, a painter wants to come out, the ancient things can not be lost,
lost the tradition has no soul, the bones have to have traditional things to
stand, of course, to integrate into their own understanding, and then gradually
form their own language, this is the right path.

Dongyou also knew that his artistic discipline had been accumulated for many
years, but in his artistic course, he was still on the way. He is preparing to
hold an personal exhibition in the near future. He believes that holding a
painting exhibition is both a centralized review, also hearing from his
teachers and friends, a reason for his own time, a review of his own
shortcomings and problems. Every problem is the cornerstone of the progress,
and the discovery of the problem is a kind of ability, and is also a continuous
way to explore.

Dongyou likes painting, and also enjoys the process of painting. Every day, he
has to practise brush, or copy a famous teacher’s work, or draw a picture of
his impression, or to feel the fresh scene of the outside world... As soon as
he talks about the past, he often emerges as the rain and fog around his
childhood home valley, the vast trees and the flicker of small bamboos in the
brook, fly dancing, and so on. Therefore, the impulse of creation has been mobilized, and it has always been the driving force of
his creation.
He said
no idea, no associative ability could not become a
painter, he felt that he had such a ability, so he was willing to keep drawing,
so even though ten meters long painting, but he paints one and another, painting
pine needles will make people tired, but when you have faith in his heart, he
has motivation to create, and they even feel that they are good at painting big
paintings, large paintings can express the heart, dripping and hearty.
He said
that it is useless to talk, the key is to achieve it. He believes that his
